Trip Packing List - What to Take on Your Vacation
When it comes to packing, the
less you have, the less you have to lose. Pack lightly.
Your family’s vacation is not a business trip, so forget dress clothes for every
occasion.
There are two kinds of travelers in the world: those
who pack light and those who wish they had.
To Pack or Not to Pack? That Is The
Question...
Packing tips
Lay out only what you absolutely
need, then take half the clothes and twice the money.
When packing, lay out the items you intend to take
and re-examine your packing list.
If at all possible, weed out single use items and
extras.
Check the weather forecast for your
destination and plan accordingly. Also, be sure to know the local
traditions, where your son’s t-shirt for dinner could be a serious
blunder, or bare shoulders may bar entrance into such places as St.
Peter’s Basilica in Vatican
City.
With each item you intend to bring, visualize how to
make it smaller, like photocopying certain pages and maps from guidebooks,
instead of bringing the entire book.
 Choose a regular toothbrush and
razor over electric
models.
When it comes to the question of toiletries,
travel kits
are always the answer.
if you want to pack light, the place to start is in
your head - come to grips with the fact that you don't need three outfits per
day. And plan to wear everything - everything - that you pack.
Don't pack clothes because you like them; only pack
clothes you will wear.
Always carry travel documents, medication, jewelry,
traveler’s checks, keys and other valuables in your carry-on luggage. Items such
as these should never be packed in checked luggage.
Label each piece of luggage, inside and out, with your
name and telephone number, but not your home address. If you must use an
address, use an office address. Remove any old baggage claim checks to avoid
confusion (this is good to do before returning home as well).
Always pack tightly . Packing loosely wastes precious
space and causes clothes to wrinkle. Eliminate wasted space, such as the insides
of shoes, which are perfect for socks or underwear. Also, your supply of
disposable diapers can be used to protect cameras and small electrical items,
and they can be folded or rolled to fill small voids in the suitcase.
Traveling has become more difficult especially if you
have to travel with small children. Babies
Travel Lite is a baby supply company who
makes traveling with small children easier and more enjoyable
by delivering the changing, feeding, and
bathing supplies your baby will need while
away from home, to any travel destinations worldwide. You can
shop
for all the supplies your baby will need while traveling without leaving your
home. For a small convenience charge Babies
Travel Lite will package and deliver your
favorite baby supplies.
The bottom line: Let go of your
wants, get in touch with your true needs. Part of the fun of
traveling is
freeing the habits of home, and it all starts with the stuff you don't pack in
your suitcase.
Now that you know what to
bring on your family vacation, let the packing begin.
Below is a great packing list that you can use to remind
yourself what you may want to take - not necessarily what you will need. This
list is not all encompassing, but it can be a help in remembering things not to
forget. You can print out this page directly and use it to check off the items
as you pack them in your luggage. Print out your travel packing list and
travel right, don't leave anything behind again!
